Wet, dark evenings and the case for staying in

Manchester winters are known for rain, and from November to February it is dark well before the end of the school day. Getting a child to an evening class across the city, on the M60 or by tram, is exactly the kind of commitment that slips in January.

An online lesson removes the journey. It happens at the kitchen table or the desk upstairs, whatever the weather is doing outside, and it starts on time because nobody is stuck in traffic.

Translate our 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM Eastern day to Greater Manchester and lessons are on offer from 11:00 AM until 4:30 AM for most of the year.

Every evening is covered

After school, after dinner and later in the evening are all inside our class hours, seven days a week.

For a few weeks in March, and again around late October, the UK and US clocks are out of step and the gap is four hours. Your teacher will confirm your slot.

Weekends from late morning

Saturday and Sunday lessons are available from late morning onwards, which leaves the early part of the weekend free.

Serving Manchester and beyond

Online Quran classes for families across Manchester, Salford, Stockport, Oldham, Bolton, and Rochdale

Because lessons are held live over video, Trafford, Tameside, Bury and Wigan are no further from a lesson than the city centre, and every family chooses from the same teachers.

Why families in Manchester choose us

From 11:00 AM through to late at night UK time, seven days a week, there is a slot for a Manchester student after school or after dinner, and no trip out in the rain to reach it. A single qualified teacher works with your child for the whole lesson; there are 100+ on our team, and families in Salford, Stockport, Oldham, Bolton and Rochdale can ask for a female teacher. We have been online since 2010, teach 2,500+ students, and the first class is a free 30-minute trial.

Short winter days and the summer switch

The shortest Manchester days end before four o'clock; the longest run past half past nine. That swing changes where a lesson naturally sits. In winter the hour after Maghrib is an early-evening slot, and in midsummer it is close to bedtime.

Many families settle on two times a year, one for the dark months and one for the light, and change them around the clock changes at the end of March and the end of October. The English school calendar, with its half-terms in late October, February and late May, gives three more natural points to adjust, and the long summer holiday is the time to keep at least some revision going.

Greater Manchester is made up of ten boroughs, and each local authority sets its own term dates, which can differ by a few days. A family with children in Oldham and cousins in Trafford may find half-terms slightly out of step, and a one-to-one lesson booked around your own household is unaffected.

What Manchester families ask before enrolling

What times are classes in Manchester?

Lessons can be booked from 11:00 AM to late at night, Manchester time, on any day of the week. For a few weeks around the clock changes the window starts an hour earlier.

Why does my lesson time change for a few weeks in spring and autumn?

Britain moves its clocks on the last Sundays of March and October, but the US moves a few weeks earlier in spring and a week later in autumn. In those weeks the two are four hours apart instead of five, and your teacher will check the slot with you.

Do you teach across Greater Manchester?

Yes. Classes are online, so families in Salford, Stockport, Oldham, Bolton, Rochdale and beyond have the same teachers and hours.

Is there a female teacher for my daughter?

Yes. Female teachers are available for girls and women — just ask when you book your free trial.
