A lesson that fits between school and the evening

For a lot of Bradford families, the difficulty with Quran classes has never been finding the will. It is fitting a lesson into a weekday that already holds school, homework, a meal and, for many, a second set of classes or family commitments in the evening.

A one-on-one online lesson is easier to place than a group class with a fixed start, because it can go wherever the gap is: straight after school for a younger child, after dinner for a teenager, or later in the evening for a parent who wants to learn too.

Our hours, in UK time

Converted from US Eastern, our 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM day becomes 11:00 AM to 4:30 AM in Bradford for most of the year, which takes in every afternoon and evening.

Weekday evenings are wide open

From the end of the school day to late at night, every hour is available, so a lesson can be placed around whatever else the evening holds.

Saturday and Sunday from late morning

Weekend classes start from late morning, a useful slot for students who want a longer or extra lesson when there is no school.

Clock changes on different dates

The UK changes its clocks on the last Sundays of March and October, the US a few weeks earlier in spring and a week later in autumn, so the gap shrinks to four hours for those weeks.

Families in Keighley, Shipley, Bingley, Halifax and Leeds choose from the same team of 100+ qualified teachers, with female teachers available on request. Since 2010 we have taught online, our students now number 2,500+, and a free 30-minute trial class always comes first.

Planning around six half-terms

The school year in England is built from six blocks separated by half-terms and holidays: a September start, a week off in late October, two weeks at Christmas, a week in February, two weeks at Easter, a week at the end of May and a summer holiday from late July to early September. That gives a natural rhythm to plan a Quran schedule around.

Half-term weeks are worth keeping lessons going rather than dropping them, especially for a student working on memorization, while the summer holiday is long enough that stopping completely usually costs several weeks of revision in September. Yorkshire winters bring sunsets before four in December and summer evenings stay light until nearly ten, so many families change the lesson time between the seasons as well.

Common questions from Bradford families

When are classes available in Bradford?

Classes are open from late morning (11:00 AM for most of the year) until the early hours, seven days a week, so after-school and evening times are never a problem.

Is one-on-one better than a group class?

For many students it is, because the teacher works at the student's own pace and corrects every recitation mistake as it happens. Your free 30-minute trial is the easiest way to see the difference.

Can we add lessons during half-term?

Ask our support team. Depending on your plan and teacher availability, extra classes may be possible, and our 10-class package is one way to add them without changing your membership.

Do you have female teachers?

Yes. Female teachers are available for girls and women — just ask when you book your free trial.
