One of the longest school summers in Europe
Italian schools break for roughly three months. The year winds up in early June and does not resume until the middle of September, which is a far longer continuous gap than students in Britain, Ireland or North America ever face.
For Quran study that single fact outweighs every other scheduling consideration on this page. Three months is not a holiday in the sense that a two-week break is a holiday; it is a quarter of the year, and a student who does nothing across it does not return where they left off.

Three months is a decision, not a gap
Holding is cheap
Short revision sessions two or three times a week, with nothing new introduced, preserve almost everything at a fraction of the cost of recovering it in September.
Advancing is realistic
With no school competing for attention, three months is enough for genuine progress — a full pass through Noorani Qaida for a beginner, or serious consolidation for a memorisation student.
Doing nothing is the expensive option
It does not feel like a cost at the time, which is precisely the problem. The bill arrives in October as several weeks of recovery that look like slow progress.

Online Quran classes for families across Italy, including Rome, Milan, Naples, and Turin
Because every class is held live over video, there's no commute and no fixed classroom location -- students join from Italy, including Rome, Milan, Naples, and Turin on a schedule built around Central European Time, with the same qualified, native Arabic-speaking tutors available to every family regardless of neighbourhood.

Central European Time, and the practical details
Italy keeps Central European Time, one hour ahead of UTC and two in summer, shifting on the last Sundays of March and October. That places the Italian evening at a convenient point for a wide range of tutors, and mid-evening slots are generally straightforward to book.
Daylight saving is worth a note for anyone holding a slot against a tutor outside Europe. The European changeover dates do not match the North American ones, and they are in the opposite season to Australia's, so a standing time can shift for a week or two in spring and autumn. Confirming at both changeovers is a small habit that prevents most of the confusion.
Teaching is in English, with Quranic Arabic taught directly rather than through a third language. For a child schooled in Italian that is not an obstacle — Arabic is being learned from the beginning in either case, and the language of instruction matters far less than the consistency of the teacher.
Students join from Rome, Milan, Naples, Turin and across the country on identical terms, with the same tutors and the same availability.
What families in Italy ask before enrolling
How long is the Italian school summer?
Roughly three months, from early June to mid-September. It is long enough that what happens across it shapes the following year more than anything else in the calendar.
What should we do over the summer?
Either hold with light revision or use it to advance. Both are good; leaving it unplanned is the option that costs the most, and it is the one families drift into.
What language are lessons taught in?
English, with Quranic Arabic taught directly. A child in Italian-language schooling starts from the same place as any other beginner.
Does daylight saving affect our lesson time?
It can, if your tutor is outside Europe. The changeover dates differ between regions, so a standing slot can move by an hour for a week or two in spring and autumn.
Which parts of Italy do you cover?
All of them — Rome, Milan, Naples, Turin and elsewhere. There is no catchment area.
How often should lessons run?
Three or four short sessions a week suits most students better than one or two long ones. Correction needs to arrive before a mistake becomes a habit, and a full week between lessons is usually too long for that.
Can we request a female tutor?
Yes. It is a common request rather than an exceptional one, and because the choice of tutor is not limited by geography it can almost always be met.
Do you teach adult beginners?
Yes. Adults starting from the beginning are a substantial share of our students, and one-to-one lessons avoid the self-consciousness of learning alongside children.
