Online Quran classes in Windsor, across the river from Detroit.
Windsor and Essex County students learn the Quran with us one-on-one on live video, each with a qualified teacher. Women teachers are available, and lessons run on the same Eastern clock Detroit uses across the river.
A border city on the same clock as Detroit
Windsor sits directly across the Detroit River from Detroit, and plenty of families have relatives, work or friends on both sides. The two cities share Eastern Time, so a lesson time agreed on one side means the same time on the other.
That makes online lessons simple to coordinate for families who split time between the two cities, or who have cousins learning in Michigan. Nobody has to cross the bridge or the tunnel to get to class.

Our hours in Windsor
Windsor uses Eastern Time, the clock our hours are set on, so lessons can be booked from 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM with nothing to convert.
Late sunsets in summer
Windsor is far to the west of the Eastern zone, and in late June Maghrib is after nine. An afternoon lesson is often easier in summer.
Long winter evenings
With Maghrib at about five o'clock in December, a lesson after it still leaves the rest of the evening free.
Same time as Detroit
Windsor and Detroit change their clocks on the same dates, so a shared lesson time never drifts between them.

Online Quran classes for families across Windsor, LaSalle, Tecumseh, Lakeshore, Amherstburg, and Leamington
A lesson over video reaches Kingsville and Essex as easily as downtown Windsor, so nowhere in the county is further from a class than anywhere else.
Why families in Windsor choose us
Windsor families can book from 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM Eastern, any day, on the same clock as relatives across the river, with no bridge or tunnel to cross. Each student gets a teacher of their own from our team of 100+, and women teachers are available to families in LaSalle, Tecumseh, Lakeshore, Amherstburg and Leamington. We moved our teaching online in 2010, have 2,500+ students today, and offer a free 30-minute trial to begin.
Canada's southernmost city and the Ontario year
Windsor is the southernmost city in Canada, and its winters are milder than much of Ontario's, though snow and ice still shut roads on some days. A class at home keeps going on those days, power and internet permitting.
Windsor schools follow the Ontario calendar, starting just after Labour Day and finishing in late June, with a winter break and a March break. Families with children on both sides of the river may find the Michigan and Ontario breaks fall in different weeks, and a lesson with its own schedule is unaffected by either.
Some Windsor residents cross the border to work in Michigan every day, and border delays can make the drive home unpredictable. A lesson that does not depend on a parent being home to drive means a child can start on time whatever the bridge queue is like.
