The Quran for Muslims is the perfect book. His angel Gabriel was sent down by Allah, who revealed the 114 chapters over 23 years to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). His life’s mission was to deliver this message to humanity and help guide and save them.

At the beginning of each dawn, recite Quran with the rise of a new sun. Every day we are given a fresh new 24 hours into our life. It’s up to us how we use them or spend them.

And if we calculate how much time we consume in sleeping, eating, TV, social media, and other matters, we will be surprised by how much we have wasted our lives over the years.

Our life is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present, but this gift gets shrinking every day and will eventually vanish without prior notice. So, it’s all about the life we give into our years. Our legacy that we build and leave behind and our valuable deeds keep on living until the day of judgment.

One of the most fruitful investments that we can make is reciting the Quran. We can never imagine how countless its benefits are to our mind, body, soul, and for sure, our afterlife.

Quran is like a bottomless well of knowledge or a magnificent deep ocean. The more you dive in and explore, the more beautiful marvels your soul encounters. And only then will this ocean reveal its secrets for you.

What Makes the Quran Perfect?

The Quran is favorable from any suspicions as Allah himself sends it. It teaches people to live a balanced life, been maintained and unchanged for centuries, and The Quran also provides laws on social and ethical matters in any community.

ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبُ لَا رَيْبَ ۛ فِيهِ ۛ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

This is the book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allāh. (Al-Quran 2:2)

Its practices are eternal, and it will never be outdated or forgotten and changed. And it’s also the only book that has been memorized cover to cover by thousands if not millions of people since its revelation.

Benefits of Recite Quran

Quran, the eternal book, lasting till Judgment Day, is a complete guide to a Muslim’s life. The Quran provides vast knowledge in every part of life, providing one with a complete code of conduct through life.

وَإِذَا قُرِئَ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ فَٱسْتَمِعُوا۟ لَهُۥ وَأَنصِتُوا۟ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ

So when the Qur’ān is recited, then listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy. (Al-Quran 7:204)

The benefits of reciting the Quran includes:

  1. Reading and Reflecting Over the Quran fulfills an Islamic duty.
  2. Recite Quran will be proof for us on the Day of Judgement.
  3. Recite Quran will intercede for us on the Day of Judgement.
  4. Recite Quran will raise your status in this life and Hereafter.
  5. There are ten rewards for each letter you recite Quran.
  6. Recite Quran will bring you closer to Allah.
  7. Recite Quran is the source of Guidance and Light in our Daily Life.

Let’s explore what happens when we recite the Quran:

  • Inner peace

You get to rest, tranquility, mercy; Allah mentions you in himself. And you draw yourself closer to Him when you recite the Quran. Do you need proof?

Who have believed and whose hearts have rest in the remembrance of Allah. Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest!

(Al-Quran 13:28)

How often you need to recite the Quran is up to you. But those who get attached to the Quran feel the immense difference when they stop for a while.

  • Increase in your Iman And Recite Quran

When you attentively recite Quran and ponder its meanings, your heart reacts to its stories. You seek refuge when you read about punishment warnings, you feel hope when you read about promises of rewards, and you think that Allah is speaking to you, comforting your heart, and guiding you to His path. Only then your hard heart will soften, and you will be thirsty for more. Your urge to improve yourself and be a better Muslim will be natural.

The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord, they rely.

(Al-Quran 8:2)

  • Recite Quran and ascend

When you recite the Quran regularly, it becomes your companion in Dunya by giving you the light your heart needs. Then it becomes your only companion in your dark grave when you’re at your utmost loneliness. It will be the light, the warmth, the shelter, and the assuring friend.

And on the day of judgment, it will be your Shafique’ who will ask Allah to forgive you.

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:

“Read the Quran, for verily it will come on the Day of Standing as an intercessor for its companions.”

Allah promised another special bonus for those who stand out and memorize the Quran. Allah will elevate your position in Paradise based on how much Quran you memorized in your life and recited on the day of judgment.

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) stated:

“It will be said to the companion of the Qur’an: Read and elevate (through the levels of the Paradise) and beautify your voice as you used to do when you were in the Dunya! For surely, your position in Paradise will be at the last verse you recite!”

May Allah make the Quran the spring of our heart, the light of our chest, and the remover of our sorrow and worries.
