Online Quran classes in Sydney

Online Quran classes in Sydney, in the mornings.

Sydney students study the Quran with us one-on-one on a video call. Because of the time difference, our lessons fall in Sydney mornings and early afternoons, which suits some families very well and others not at all, so here is exactly how it works.

Being honest about the time difference

We schedule every lesson on US Eastern Time, between 6:00 AM and 11:30 PM. Sydney is so far ahead that, in Sydney, our day runs from the late evening through the night and the morning, ending at 1:30 PM in the southern winter and 3:30 PM in the southern summer.

That means we cannot offer regular after-school weekday lessons in Sydney, and we would rather say so up front. What we can offer is mornings, weekends and school holidays, which suit homeschooling families, adult learners and children who want to use their holidays for real progress.

Where our hours fall in Sydney

With New South Wales on daylight saving from October to April, the end of our teaching day moves between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM Sydney time through the year.

Weekend mornings

Saturday and Sunday mornings are fully inside our teaching day, a natural slot for a weekly lesson.

School holidays

During the April, July and September–October breaks and the long summer holiday, weekday mornings are open for children.

Homeschoolers and adults

For students learning at home, and adults with flexible mornings, any weekday morning can work.

Serving Sydney and beyond

Online Quran classes for families across Sydney, Parramatta, Bankstown, Liverpool, Blacktown, and Penrith

Lessons are video calls, so Auburn, Campbelltown, Hornsby and the Sutherland Shire are as close to a class as the CBD.

Why families in Sydney choose us

Our Sydney day ends at 1:30 PM in winter and 3:30 PM in summer, so it suits weekend mornings, school holidays, homeschooling families and adult learners, not after-school weekday slots. In Parramatta, Bankstown, Liverpool, Blacktown and Penrith, students learn one-on-one with a teacher from our team of 100+, and can ask for a woman teacher. We have been online since 2010, teach upward of 2,500 students, and the first 30-minute trial class is free.

Using the NSW school year

NSW splits the school year into four terms; the breaks are two weeks each in April, July and around the end of September, plus about six summer weeks from mid-December. Those breaks are where a Sydney child's Quran progress can happen: weekday mornings are free, and a few lessons a week across a two-week break add up quickly.

In term time, Saturday or Sunday morning is the steadiest lesson slot for a school-age child. Some families add a lesson before school on a weekday morning, which falls inside our hours all year, though it needs an early start.

What Sydney families ask before enrolling

Can my child have lessons after school on weekdays?

Not regularly. Our teaching day ends at 1:30 PM Sydney time in winter and 3:30 PM in summer, so we recommend weekend mornings, school holidays or before-school slots.

Who are your Sydney hours best for?

Homeschooling families, adult learners with flexible mornings, and school-age children using weekends and school holidays.

Do the hours change through the year?

Yes. New South Wales and the US change their clocks on different dates, so the end of our day moves between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM Sydney time, and your teacher checks the slot with you at each change.

Are female teachers available?

Yes. Female teachers are available for girls and women — just ask when you book your free trial.
