Online Quran classes for metro Atlanta, inside and outside the Perimeter.
Families inside and outside the Perimeter study the Quran with us one student at a time, over live video. A qualified teacher leads every lesson, female teachers are available, and you choose the hour.
Late sunsets at the western edge of Eastern Time
Atlanta keeps Eastern Time even though it sits far to the west of New York, and the result is visible every summer evening. In late June the sun does not set until about ten to nine, and even in the shortest days of December Maghrib is around half past five.
For a family that plans its evening around Maghrib, that means two very different seasons. In winter, the hour after Maghrib is an early-evening slot that suits younger children; in summer it is close to bedtime, and a lesson is better placed in the afternoon.

An early-August start and two spring breaks
Most metro Atlanta districts are among the earliest in the country to go back, usually in the first week or two of August, and they finish in late May. Many metro districts also take a week off in February as well as a spring break in April, on top of Thanksgiving and the winter holidays.
A summer that ends in early August is shorter than families moving from the Northeast expect, so a holiday intensive should start in June. The February and April weeks are useful for extra revision, particularly for a student who is memorizing and cannot afford to lose ground over a break.
