Online Quran classes in Minneapolis–St. Paul, in every season.
Families across Minneapolis, St. Paul and the Twin Cities suburbs learn the Quran with us one-on-one over live video. Qualified teachers lead every lesson, female teachers are available, and lessons follow Central Time.
Four and a half hours of daylight difference
Minneapolis sits far enough north that the length of the day changes dramatically through the year. In December the sun sets around half past four; in late June it does not set until after nine. For a family that plans its evening around Maghrib, a lesson slot that works in one season does not work in the other.
The simplest answer is to stop chasing Maghrib with the lesson and fix it to the clock instead, with one time for the dark months and another for the light. Because an online lesson needs no travel, moving it an hour is easy.

Central Time in the Twin Cities
Minneapolis is on Central Time, an hour behind the East Coast, so our 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM Eastern day is 5:00 AM to 10:30 PM here, all year.
Long evenings to choose from
Classes run until 10:30 PM, so a lesson can go after dinner, after homework or after a late shift.
Winter afternoons after Maghrib
With Maghrib around half past four in December, a lesson straight afterwards fits easily before dinner.
Summer daytime lessons
In June and July, when Maghrib is after nine, an afternoon or early-evening slot is the comfortable choice.

Online Quran classes for families across Minneapolis, St. Paul, Bloomington, Brooklyn Park, Eden Prairie, and Maple Grove
Each lesson is a live video call, so families in Plymouth, Burnsville, Eagan and the rest of the metro choose from the same teachers and hours as families in the cities.
Why families in Minneapolis choose us
In Minneapolis, our classes run until 10:30 PM Central Time, 7 days a week, so a lesson can move with the seasons, after Maghrib in winter and in the afternoon in summer, without a drive across the metro. Every class is one-on-one with one of our 100+ qualified teachers, and female teachers are available for families in St. Paul, Bloomington, Brooklyn Park, Eden Prairie and Maple Grove. We have taught online since 2010, teach 2,500+ students today, and every family starts with a free 30-minute trial class.
Light, dark and the school year
Most Twin Cities districts start school after Labor Day and finish in early June, with a winter break, a spring break and, in many districts, a few days off in October. Those breaks are good points to switch between your winter and summer lesson times.
The deep winter is when an online lesson matters most. When it is dark by half past four and well below freezing, nobody wants to drive to an evening class, and an at-home lesson keeps the routine going through January and February.
Minneapolis calls itself the City of Lakes, and when summer finally arrives, weekends fill up with time outdoors. Families who protect a weekday lesson slot through the summer keep their routine; families who leave it to the weekend often find the weekend has other plans.
Downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul are linked by miles of enclosed skyways, built precisely because winter makes walking outside so unpleasant. It is a fair reminder of why a lesson that needs no trip outdoors is the easiest one to keep from December to March.
What Twin Cities families ask before enrolling
What time are classes in Minneapolis?
5:00 AM to 10:30 PM Central, 7 days a week. That is our 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM Eastern day, and it holds all year.
Should we change our lesson time between seasons?
Many families do. With Maghrib around half past four in December and after nine in June, a winter time and a summer time is often easier than tracking sunset.
Do you teach in St. Paul and the suburbs?
Yes. St. Paul, Bloomington, Brooklyn Park and Eden Prairie are all served by the same teachers and the same hours.
Can I request a female teacher?
Yes. Female teachers are available for girls and women — just ask when you book your free trial.
