Belief in Allah’s Mercy is the most significant power of a Muslim, and the creation of disbelief in Allah’s Mercy is the giant trick of Shaytan against the strength of Imaan and Muslims.

There must be times when you commit a sin and repent later on and want to beg Allah (SWT) for forgiveness and ask for Allah’s Mercy. Right then, Shaytan (devil) indulges in your heart that how can I face Allah (SWT) in Salah after sinning. He won’t forgive me. SEE! Here is a trick of Shaytan. To make your disbelief in Allah’s Mercy (SWT). Don’t let Shaytan trap you. Whenever you feel trapped by him, then remind yourself the following things:

Remember, Allah’s Mercy Overpowers His Anger:

By Abu Huraira (Radhi-Allah-hu ‘anhu):The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said:

“When Allah completed the creation, He wrote in His Book, which is with Him on His Throne,” My Mercy overpowers My Anger.” [Sahih Bukhari – Book: 54. Beginning of Creation, Hadith:416]

It is narrated in the Quran

And decree for us in this world [that which is] good and [also] in the Hereafter; indeed, we have turned back to You.” [Allāh] said, “My punishment – I afflict with it whom I will, but My mercy encompasses all things.” So I will decree it [especially] for those who fear Me and give zakāh and those who believe in Our verses – (AlQuran 7:156)

Allah is merciful

Allah is the Most Merciful, Most Compassionate. He is the Most Merciful of those who show Mercy. His Mercy encompasses everything.

In Saheeh Muslim from Abu Hurayrah. The Prophet (PBUH) said:

“Allah has 100 parts of Mercy, of which He sent one between the jinn, humanity, the animals, and the insects. Using which they are compassionate and merciful to one another. and using which animals are kind to their offspring. And Allah has kept back 99 parts of Mercy to be merciful to His slaves of the Day of Resurrection.” (Muslim, Al-Tawbah, 6908)

Allah Loves You More Than Your Mother

‘Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said:

“Some prisoners were brought to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), and there was a woman among the prisoners who was searching (for her child). She embraced and put him to her breast when she found her child. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, ‘Do you think this woman would throw her child in the fire?’ We said, ‘No, by Allah, not if she cannot.’ The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, ‘Allah is more merciful to His slaves than this woman is to her child.'” (Agreed upon)

Allah’s Door Of Repentance is Wide Open

It’s never too late to get back to Allah and ask for forgiveness unless your last breath and aim sincerely not to repeat the sin. Allah (SWT) says:

“Do they not know that it is Allah Who accepts the repentance of His servants and receives (approves) their charity and that Allah is the Relenting, the Compassionate?” (At-Tawbah: 104)

“Say: ‘O My servants who wronged against their souls, do not despair of Allah’s mercy! For Allah forgives all sins, for He is indeed Forgiving, Compassionate.'” (Az-Zumar: 53).

Prophet (PBUH) said,

“Allah accepts the repentance of His servant so long as death has not reached his collar bone.”

Hopefully, all mentioned above will help you believe in Allah’s Mercy and not let Shaytan trap you again. But remember one thing: if you ask for forgiveness and have an intention in your heart to repeat the sin or do a sin, having in mind that you will ask for Allah’s forgiveness afterward, it will be of no use. Allah says in Quran (meaning)

“Declare (O Muhammad) unto My slaves that I am the Oft-Forgiving, the Most-Merciful.

And that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment.” [15:49-50]

So from now on, resolve that whenever Shaytan whispers, you will not be forgiven in your ears that you will not be forgiven by Allah (SWT) for all your sins; remind yourself that Allah’s Mercy to forgive, and He is Most Merciful of all.
