Shimaa Salah holds a Bachelor's degree in Islamic and Arabic Studies from Al-Azhar University, Fundamentals of Religion department, graded Very Good (2007).

She has taught Arabic at Al-Yasser Language School and Arabic and Quran at Dar Rawdat al-Quran. Her training is unusually focused on how children learn: a course in Qa'idah Nuraniah, a Montessori course, a family diploma, and a course on bridging the gap between different ages.
