Shab e Meraj

Isra and Miraj, called Al Isra’ wal Miraj, is seen on the Shab e Meraj night- the 27th day of Rajab, the seventh month in the Islamic date book. This occasion denotes the Holy Night that Allah (God) took Muhammad on a journey from Mecca to Jerusalem and afterward to heaven.

Background of Shab e Meraj

The Prophet Mohammad (additionally composed as Muhammad) lived in. Around the territory currently in Saudi Arabia from 570 CE to 632 CE in the Gregorian timetable.

According to Islamic belief, Allah took him two-section travel around 620 CE at Shab e Meraj night.

The main piece of the adventure, known as Isra, was from Mecca to the “furthest” mosque. There is some verbal confrontation about the “furthest” mosque’s area.

Some Muslims accept that it connotes a mosque that was far from Mecca. At the same time, others accept that it was the Dome of the Rock (Masjid Qubbat As-Sakhrah) on the Temple Mount (Haram al-Sharif) in Jerusalem.

It is believed that Muhammad was shown in heaven and hellfire in the second piece of the journey, known as Meraj. He conversed with numerous prophets, including Jesus and Moses, in heaven. He additionally got directions on Islamic requests to God.

Mohammad came back to Mecca before the end of the Shab e Meraj night. Some Islamic researchers view Mohammed’s journey as a profound experience. At the same time, others see it as a physical journey. His trip is recalled and remembered by Isra and Meraj.

Shab e Meraj- 27th Rajab:

There are deeds of 100 years of prayers for the one who can Ibadah on the Shab e Meraj night.

Whoever prays 12 Rakaat (12 cycles) on this night, in every Raka’at, recite Surah Fatiha and any other Surah from the Quran.

After every 2, Rakaat recites Tashahhud and ends the salat with Salam. (Means: Recite 12 Rakaat with four Salams, 2 Raka’at at a time).

After that, recite this 100 times (After completion of 12 Rakaat):

Subhan Allaahi Wal Hamdulillahi Wa Laa ilaah illal Laaho Wallah Hoo Akbar. Astagfirullah” 100 times

Durood Sharif 100 times. (Any Durood you know)

And after that, make Dua for his/her religious and worldly matters. Fast in the morning. Then ALLAH Ta’ala will accept all of his/her Duas as long as Duas are not made of sins. (Duas for sins will not be accepted).

Holy Prophet (SAW) asked to seek forgiveness as much as possible for them.

I seek the forgiveness of Allah. There is no god save Him, the One and Only Who has no partner, and I repent before Him.

All glory be to Allah; all praise be to Allah; there is no god save Allah; Allah is the Greatest, and there is no might, and no strength saves with Allah, the All-high, the All-great.

Allah blesses Muhammad and his family.

Allah, please forgive the believing men & women.

I repent before Him.

Undoubtedly, the Shab e Meraj night in which Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) was blessed with this unparalleled honor was one of the most incredible nights in the history of this world.

Jazakallah!

What is the significance of Shab-e-Miraj in Islam?

The Isra Night or Shab-e-Miraj has significance because Allah Almighty endowed the Beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with His sight. Allah Almighty sent the Angel Jibrail to call Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) to endow Him with His sight. It is believed significant to worship this Holy Night, Shab-e-Miraj. Furthermore, Shab-e-Miraj strengthens the belief of Muslims because of the miracles that occurred in Shab-e-Miraj.

It is narrated in the Quran,

While he was in the higher [part of the] horizon.

Then he approached and descended.

And was at a distance of two bow lengths or nearer.

And he revealed to His Servant what he revealed [i.e., conveyed].
