At AlQuranClasses, online Quran classes run from 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM Eastern time, seven days a week. For US families, that covers before-school mornings, after-school afternoons, evenings and weekends in every mainland time zone. You choose the days and times, and they become your regular weekly slots.
Class hours in your time zone
| Time zone | Classes available |
|---|---|
| Eastern (New York, Atlanta, Detroit) | 6:00 AM – 11:30 PM |
| Central (Chicago, Houston, Dallas) | 5:00 AM – 10:30 PM |
| Mountain (Denver, Salt Lake City) | 4:00 AM – 9:30 PM |
| Pacific (Los Angeles, Seattle) | 3:00 AM – 8:30 PM |
Most of Arizona doesn’t observe daylight saving time, so its offset from Eastern changes twice a year. If you’re in Arizona, Alaska or Hawaii, tell us your local time when you book and we’ll work out the window.
These times are the full teaching day: classes run until the closing time shown.
Popular times for school-age children
Right after school. A 30-minute class at 3:30 or 4:00 PM local time catches children before homework and activities. Our post on Quran classes for public school kids has more ideas for fitting classes around school.
After dinner. Early evening works for many families, especially with a group family class where siblings share one 60-minute slot.
Before school. Early risers in the Eastern and Central zones can fit a class before the bus.
Weekends. Classes run seven days a week, so Saturday and Sunday mornings are an option for families with busy weekdays.
Fitting classes into a US school year
- Set times in August or early September, before activities fill the calendar.
- Plan around holidays. Thanksgiving week, winter break and spring break are easy to keep classes going online, even while traveling.
- Ramadan: class times can move earlier or later around iftar and taraweeh. Talk to our support team before the month starts.
- Daylight saving time: if you live outside the Eastern zone, double-check class times when the clocks change.
