Mohamed Fathi Mahmoud completed his memorization of the Quran while at high school and went on to study Tajweed both academically and in practice.

He studied Islamic Studies in English at Al-Azhar University's Faculty of Languages and Translation (2013–2018). His English is excellent and he has volunteered as a translator for TED.
