Before the class
You’ll get a link to join at the scheduled time. On the technical side, you don’t need special software or a top-of-the-line laptop — just a working internet connection and a headset. Before the session, have your child’s Qaida or Mushaf ready, find a quiet spot away from the TV or siblings playing nearby, and put on headphones if you have them — it makes it much easier for the teacher to hear pronunciation clearly.
The first five minutes
The teacher opens with introductions — getting to know your child’s name, a little about them, and putting them at ease before any actual reading starts. A good trial doesn’t launch straight into correction. It starts with the child feeling comfortable enough to speak up.

If you’re an adult starting from scratch — including as a revert — it’s completely normal to feel self-conscious about reading Arabic out loud for the first time in front of someone else.
