Once upon a time, a Muslim bride was getting ready for her wedding party.

“After performing Salah Al-Maghrib, She put her make-up, wore her beautiful white dress preparing herself for her wedding party, Then she heard the Adhan (Call for prayers) of ‘Ishaa and she realized that she broke her Wudu (ablution).

She told her mother: “Mother, I have to go to make wudu (ablution) and pray ‘Salah Al Ishaa.”

Her mother was shocked: “Are you crazy?!! Guests are waiting for you, to see you! What about your make up? It will be all washed away by water!!”

Then she added: ”I am your mother and I order you not to perform Salah now! Wallahi if you make wudu (ablution) now, I will be angry at you.”

Her daughter, the Muslim bride replied: “Wallahi I won’t go out from here until I perform my Salah! Mother, you must know that there is no obedience to any creature in disobedience to the Creator!!”

Her mother said: ”What would our Guests say about you when you’ll show up at your wedding party without make-up?  You won’t be beautiful in their eyes and they will make fun of you!”

The beauty of Muslim Bride:

The daughter asked with a smile: “Are you worried because a Muslim bride won’t be beautiful in the eyes of creations?  What about my Creator? I am worried because, if I miss my Salah, I won’t be beautiful in His eyes.”

She started to make wudu (ablution), and all her make-up was washed away, but she didn’t care.

Then she began her Salaah and at the moment she bowed down to make Sujud (prostrate), She didn’t realize that it will be her last one!

Yes! She died while in Sujud!  What a great ending for a Muslimah who insisted on obeying her Lord!  Many people who heard her story were so touched!!

She put Him and His obedience first in her priorities, so He granted her the best ending that any Muslim could have!
She wanted to be closer to Him, so He took her soul in the place where Muslims are the closest to Him! SubhanAllah!

She didn’t care if she would be beautiful in the eyes of creatures so she was beautiful in the eyes of Her Creator!

O Muslim Sisters, Imagine if you are in her place!  What will you do?  Subhan’Allah!

What an amazing story. 🙂 Now Let’s see what we Learn from this beautiful story.

The Story of a Muslim Bride

This is a powerful true story narrated by Shaykh Abdul Mohsen al Ahmad, which took place in Abha, the capital of Asir province in Saudi Arabia. It highlights the faith, determination, and ultimate reward of a young Muslim bride who chose her Creator over societal expectations.

The Day of the Wedding

A young Muslim bride was preparing herself for one of the most important days of her life. Her wedding party was about to begin, and she was radiant, dressed in a stunning white gown. After performing Salah Al-Maghrib, she sat to perfect her bridal look, applying beautiful makeup to match her joy and the occasion. Guests had already started gathering to witness her special day, and everything seemed perfect.

However, as the Adhan for Salah Al-Isha’a echoed in the air, the bride realized that her Wudu (ablution) had been invalidated. What followed was a moment that would define her faith and leave an everlasting impact on those who heard her story.

A Test of Faith

The bride turned to her mother and calmly said, “Mother, I need to perform Wudu and pray Salah Al-Isha.”

Her mother, shocked and exasperated, protested, “Are you out of your mind? Guests are waiting to see you! Your makeup will be ruined. You’re the bride! How can you do this now?”

Her mother’s anger only grew when she added, “I forbid you to pray now. If you perform Wudu, I will be angry with you forever.”

But the Muslim bride remained firm, responding with unwavering faith, “Wallahi, I won’t leave this place until I perform my Salah. Mother, you know there is no obedience to any creature when it comes to disobedience to the Creator.”

Prioritizing Allah Above All

The mother tried reasoning further: “What will the guests say when they see you without makeup? You’ll no longer be beautiful in their eyes, and they will laugh at you.”

With a serene smile, the bride asked her mother a profound question, “Are you worried about me not being beautiful in the eyes of the guests? What about my Creator? If I miss my Salah, how will I look in the eyes of Allah? I am worried about pleasing Him more than anyone else.”

Without hesitation, she began her Wudu, washing away all the carefully applied makeup. While others may have feared losing their bridal beauty, she was focused on something far more important—her relationship with Allah.

A Beautiful Sujud

After completing her Wudu, the Muslim bride stood in Salah. Her heart filled with peace, she bowed down into Sujud (prostration), unaware that this moment of closeness to her Creator would be her last. While in Sujud, her soul returned to Allah. SubhanAllah! She passed away in the most beautiful and beloved state—prostrating before her Lord.

A Reward Beyond Imagination

News of the bride’s story spread quickly, leaving many deeply moved and inspired. For those who attended the wedding, her death was not a tragedy but a blessing—a sign of Allah’s love for a servant who put Him first.

The Muslim bride did not care about how she appeared before her guests. She cared only about her beauty in the eyes of Allah, and He honored her in a way that words cannot describe. She died in Sujud, the position where a Muslim is closest to their Creator. This was not just a wedding day; it was a meeting with the One she sought to please above all.
